Every student takes the PSAT in October of junior year. PSAT test prep isn’t necessary for every child, but increasing familiarity with PSAT content, and practicing test-taking strategies beforehand, can be helpful to some students.
Our Approach: Individualized and Personal
The test prep tutor will help you determine whether private tutoring prior to the PSAT is right for your student, and also offer a complimentary consultation once PSAT test results are in hand. Hoffman Education is not a tutoring franchise; only learning experts, with a personal touch work through HEG. The tutors gain an understanding of your child’s needs and goals. The tutoring is provided in the convenience of your home.
PSAT Test Prep: We’ll Meet Your Needs
While extremely high scores qualify for National Merit Scholarships, for most students the PSAT is a practice run for the SAT, not a high stakes test that impacts the college admissions process. Consider PSAT tutoring for students who:
- are potential National Merit Scholars
- are poor test-takers or learn at a slower pace
- need an early start building confidence and mastery for the SAT
Your child’s PSAT score report reveals valuable diagnostics for SAT test planning. Call us once PSAT results are in hand, to review your students’ unique strengths and weaknesses, identify skills that need improvement, and develop a preparation plan for the SAT test.
